Making the world a better place
May 16th, 2023 Levy Information
Coeur d'Alene School District voters will be asked to consider approval of a school levy in May 2023.
Supplemental Levy- This would replace the 2-year supplemental levy expiring next year. The levy provides one-quarter of our annual operating funds, and pays for employee costs, textbooks and classroom supplies, student computers, elective classes, sports and extracurricular activities, safety personnel, transportation, custodial services, and more.
Not So Supplemental
The May 16th, 2023 levy funds more than 300 of the district's 1,300 employees — librarians, athletic directors/coaches, half day kindergarten teachers, campus security officers, and so many more. These people are essential to the safety and well-being of our students.
So Much At Stake
A Yes vote on May 16th goes towards textbooks, school resource officers, school nurses, career technical education classes (KTEC), sports, music, drama, fine arts, staff training, and more. Our children's future as well as the future of our community make a YES vote ESSENTIAL.
